Findability is a term generally associated with finding things on the Internet. The ability for something to be classified, and found, is the object of Web 2.0. A good concept for things, but not so great for the individual career seeker. Once the Internet became public, people became obsessed with finding things. PEZ collecting lead to creating EBAY and the online community lead to the temptation of indexing everything. Indexing resumes lead to Monster, CareerBuilder, and a myriad of other sites touting cures for career growth.
What in the world is a good fit?
When it comes to jobs, the fact is, about 84 percent of individuals are not happy in their current jobs. Individuals are not spending enough time on defining wants and needs before seeking new possibilities.
In 1980, most job seekers were happy to have a job. After the decade of the 1980's, with its many cycles of mergers, acquisitions and downsizings (later changed to rightsizing to soften the blow), the worker mentality began to shift. People no longer looked for the gold watch for years of service (many did not survive long enough to receive it). Workers began to be concerned if they were next.

The trailer on the news feeds read: "Terror Alert Elevated", the immigration issue is changing the face (and language) of the land, more people are restless about their jobs, and one can sense the uneasiness over issues of the economy, globalization, and politics.
